From Craft Magazine, here’s a way to make red wine vinegar that’s quite easy. Just take some leftover red wine, water, red wine vinegar mother, and a few tools. Red wine vinegar mother is available at most homebrewing shops or order online. It’s the “live” culture which contains the bacteria Acetobacter, which eats alcohol and turns it into acetic acid, the tangy flavor we know as vinegar. Start saving those wine bottles and corks!
