Grow Your Own Herbs

Buying herbs in the store in those cute little bottles can add up quickly, and fresh herbs are so much better! It’s easy to grow your own. Put a half dozen in one container and have a lovely selection of herbs that will last you through fall. Save money by using a container you already have, or growing herbs from seeds. Also makes a great gift.

Here’s a how-to from Sunset Magazine

I have to agree. A single 10 cent packet of herb seeds will yield a mason jar sized spice jar. Pretty good savings.
