Spring is coming soon (I promise!) and there’s nothing that evokes the new season like planting a garden. If you have a sunny space, consider a raised bed garden.  If you just have a deck or patio, consider gardening in a container.

Growing your own food is deeply satisfying, connecting you to the earth as well as being thrifty and as fresh as you can get.

Save money by finding lumber to re-use, just make sure it isn’t painted or treated in any way. You can also use stone or cement blocks. See how to make it in five simple steps from Sunset.com.

Can’t wait to get my hands in the dirt. I haven’t had a real garden for several years and I really miss it.
